HOW IT BEGAN
From Australia to the African Bush
In 2007, our family went on the safari of a lifetime to East Africa. Little did we know that a year later, we would uproot our lives in Australia to purchase and convert an old family homestead into a safari lodge on the edge of Nairobi National Park, Kenya.
Over the years, I have fallen in love with the people, culture, and wildlife of this beautiful country. Bushtracker Safaris is my way of sharing this passion with you; starting at the family lodge, you will then explore our favourite places discovered over the last 17 years.

THE PROBLEM I WANTED TO SOLVE
"Why does a safari have to cost a small fortune?"
That question kept nagging at me. I’d watched friends and travellers arrive in Kenya, wide-eyed and desperate to experience the real Africa — only to be quoted eye-watering prices by luxury operators. The tents got fancier, the price tags got bigger, and somewhere along the way, the actual safari — the wildlife, the guides, the raw wilderness — got buried under layers of expensive extras.
I knew there was another way. I’d lived it.

Built to Make the Safari Accessible
Bushtracker Safaris was born out of a simple conviction: the best parts of a safari — the wildlife encounters, the knowledgeable guides, the vast open landscapes — don’t require a $1,000-a-night tent. They require the right people, the right planning, and the right routes.
I designed every itinerary myself, drawing on years of living in and around Kenya’s most iconic game areas. I cut what didn’t matter — the unnecessary frills, the bloated commissions, the intermediary layers — and kept what did: exceptional guiding, hand-picked camps, and the kind of genuine bush experience I grew up with.
The result? Real safari adventures at prices that make them accessible — not just to the few, but to anyone with a sense of adventure.
